this will be a mixture of 7's review and this past weekends score's
Las Vegas: this is the first time in 3 years that i have attended the Las Vegas 7's and i must say you can see the big difference that it has taken in 3 years. the crowd was much larger and a little more organized in the "Fan center". my personal opinion is that USA should of beaten Fiji and Canada. what one of the big time key areas that USA needs to work on, and not just in 7's but in 15's also, is "special" teams. the kicking game has always been a area that has hurt team USA. If the conversion was made in Fiji game chances are they could of won in OT, and if the conversion was made in Canada game they could of played in the Plate final. Team USA has just over one month to fix everything for the HK tournament, we are looking a very serious problem of being knocked out of the core group which would be a big blow to the program, USA now sits at number 13 with 5 points behind Scotland and 11 back of Canada. over all the Las Vegas 7's tournament in general was a big success and for another year record crowd was announced over the three day period, 67,341 attendance.
