(SF Bay Area) HIGH SCHOOL update & weekend games 2/21/13

Letsstart with high school and fallowing articles focus on college and men's matches.

Single school division local high school bellarminehas a 0-2 start in the season and needs to play catch with only five gamesleft, but that won’t be easy as top to bottom there division will be a tight race and there nextgame against DIXION who is 2-0 and has scored 166 points so far this season
Bellarmine: BYE 2/23

De La Salle is in much better position then the Bells(Bellarmine) but still have a tough schedule to go through. Sitting in second placetied with Dixion they to still must play dixion later in the season and haveonly won there two games by combined 23 points
De La Salle: BYE 2/23

Varsity Gold division things are a little tighter atthe top but then falter toward the bottom of the standings in the BAY section.
Danville, SFGG, Pen Green all sit with a 2-0 record and 4points. Danville is so far the clear favorite with over a 100 points scored sofar through two games fallowed by Pen Green and SFGG in points scored.

Danville so far has had the essayer schedule with there twoopponents only have scored 12-24 points in both games against Danville. And thisweek should be by all means a breez when they play San Mateo, a team that hasonly scored 5 points thus far.
Danville: vs San Mateo 2/23

Pen Green over the years has always been a strong andconsistent team, so it is no surprise to see them sitting at 2-0. This weekendmatch will be a good test as they play host to EPA and then Fallowed by thefallowing week match against SFGG
Pen Green :  vs EPA 2/23

JV Gold division the top three spots are taken byDanville, Pleasanton, Los Gatos. This past week everyone in the BAY section hada bye week but play resumes this weekend.

Los Gatos, a second year program and still struggling tofind consistent numbers will be playing Pleasanton this coming week. Last yearLos Gatos had numbers , but faltered as the season winded down, but couldn’t keepup with the amount of talent in the division. This year numbers is still aslight problem but the talent on the team has picked up and so has the physicalside of the team. With only one senior on the squad and a good amount ofplayers that will be moving up from the u14 team next year this team will beginto find its footing soon and this year will be a good season to test the youthof the team. Pleasanton is almost a mirror image program but the main differencebeing that the entire program has been around longer then los gatos and theyare able to field a girls side. Both programs have nothing but up swings comingin the near future

Los Gatos : vs PLeasontan 2/23
Danville: @ Pen Green 2/23

Girls Varsity gold: Danville , Amazons , BOD , Mother Lodeall sit tied with 1-0 records so far. Last week almost everyone had a BYEexcept Mother lode where they got there first game of the season underway. Thisweeks full slate of games will be one worth watching.

Danville: vs Pleasanton
Amazons : vs Bullard

BOD: @ Alameda islanders

Mother Lode: vs Lobo Girls
